It is possible to perform an upgrade across different bundle types but to see the correct bundle type . If you don't see your new bundle in your package , you should inform HD
of Magnolia bundle upgrade with the rules defined in Cockpit Configuration/BUNDLE_TYPE_UPGRADE_RULES
- Bundle types can be used are defined in Bundle types section and following the rule that mentions in Bundle handling guide on Cloud
even though you followed the rules bellow, contact HD and ask them for checking bundle types upgrade configuration.
Upgrading rules
- If two bundles have the same bundle type, the new bundle must have a later version.
- If two bundles have different bundle types, the bundles must have different bundle artifact versions. This is a limitation of Facade.
- After upgrade, the upgrade backup can be deleted (created only in the Live environment). However, it can be restored only if the current instances of the given environment is NOT in the "Termination protection" mode.
